This annual fundraiser is the chamber’s major fundraiser of the year and proceeds go to the organization’s programs. Last year’s Showcase was attended by about 600 happy partiers, according to Terri Reeves, the chamber’s membership/events coordinator. “It’s wonderful to see everyone having so much fun,” Reeves said. “I love Lincoln and its sense of community and, with this year being our 100th year birthday celebration, it’s a party you don’t want to miss. Be part of the history and join us for Showcase 2009.” This year’s Showcase will feature more than 40 restaurants, wineries and breweries. Guests will sample gourmet food, wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks from vendors throughout South Placer County. The outdoor event, open to anyone 21 or over, starts at 5:30 p.m. with Dudley and the Doo-Rights providing dance music. The music continues at 7:30 p.m. with the Bay Area’s The Time Bandits. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. In addition, there is a “Showcase Ticket Special” in which the fourth ticket is free if three are bought at the same time. Call the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce at 645-2035 to buy tickets over the phone. Or visit the chamber office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 540 F St. in downtown Lincoln. ~ Carol Feineman
