The Lincoln Hills Senior Softball League recently gave scholarships to four Lincoln High School seniors. All of the recipients are athletes and have achieved high academic success. Katie Emerson, Emily McKinnon, Christian Perkins and Nikoli Sharp were the award winners. Emerson played four years of softball, was senior class president and has an academic scholarship to study mechanical engineering. She will play college softball. McKinnon, a traveling team soccer player, aspires to be a nurse and will go to Sierra College while working with sixth-graders. Perkins, who played football and basketball and was ASB president, will go to the University of Kansas to study communications and film. Sharp will take her softball skills to a small, private college in either Oregon or Georgia to study physical education and fitness training.
