By: Staff Report
The Lincoln High School Booster Club will host the 6th annual Labor Day Fun Run (& Walk) at the Outdoor Learning Environment (OLE) property on Sept. 7. The OLE is Lincoln High’s home cross country course. The property is located off Twelve Bridges Drive in Lincoln Hills. The 5K run and walk on natural surface trails is a fundraiser for Lincoln’s cross country team. The community is invited and encouraged to participate in this event. Registration forms for the event are available online at lhs.wpusd.k12.ca.us/athletics/boosters/. The registration fee is $20 for all entries received before Friday. On the day of the event the fee will be $25. T-shirts will be available for those who register by Friday. Number pick-up and race day registration will be at Twelve Bridges Elementary School at 2450 Eastridge Drive from 7-7:45 a.m. The run/walk will start at 8 a.m. Carpooling from the school to OLE is encouraged. There will be medals for the first three finishers for each gender in each of the four age divisions. At the conclusion of the event, runners and walkers will automatically be entered in a drawing for prizes donated by local merchants. In addition to community participants, the Booster Club is searching for businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring the event. There are four levels of sponsorship available, starting from a donation of $100. All sponsors will have their logo or business name on the event T-shirt as well as displayed at the event. Potential sponsors and anyone else that would like more information about the event should call Doug Croall at 416-5976.
