Lincoln drops last home game of season to Bear River
On Tuesday night, Bear River spoiled the Lincoln girls basketball team’s last home game of the season, defeating the Zebras 69-45.
In the third meeting between the two rivals, Lincoln put up their best offensive performance in as many tries. After averaging 21.5 points in their two previous meetings, Lincoln scored 45 in a losing effort.
The Bruins proved dangerous beyond the arc, connecting on 10 3-pointers on the night. Bear River is the top team in the Pioneer Valley League at 6-1.
With a 1-6 record, Lincoln sits at the bottom of the standings. Three games remain in the season, all of which will be played away.
Lincoln will begin their road trip at Placer (Jan. 31) and will wrap up the season with games against Colfax (Feb. 7) and Foothill (Feb. 11)
