Lincoln High’s Matt Shirley fired a 78 over the par-72 course at Dark Horse Golf Club but missed an invite to the Masters by one stroke.

The Fighting Zebras struggled a bit in the wet conditions Monday to card a team-total 438 for fourth place in the Division III postseason tournament. Brandon Harrigan shot an 86 and Chris Ordonio an 89 but no other Lincoln player was able to beak 90.

Placer won the event with a 396 to advance to the Masters as a team and Rio Americano was runners-up with a 415.

The three individual qualifiers were Connor Estrada (74, Yuba City HS), Jake DePass (75, Bear River HS) and Lucas Vaughan (77, River Valley HS).

Lincoln’s seniors are Ordonio, Josh Von Pohle, Harrigan and Steve Venturino.
