Lincoln’s Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource center has finalized details for its Laps for the Lighthouse Community Fun Run/Walk to be held on Saturday, Oct. 4. According to Angela Ficarra, CEO for the Lighthouse, “We’re getting a great deal of interest from people who are participating in the event with their children and grandchildren. I’m not sure which generation is doing the family coordinating, but there is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm being expressed.” The event will begin and finish at Twelve Bridges Elementary School, with the route designed along the neighborhood’s walking trails, wetlands and open spaces. Registration on the day of the race is $25 for adults; $15 for children or $60 for entire families. Medals will be awarded for first, second and third places in 10-year age divisions, plus divisions for children 10 and younger, ages 11-14 and ages 15-18.
