It was at University of Reno and we (Lincoln) were the biggest team there. There were a ton of people from schools like Mesa, Roseville and Rio Linda. It was probably one of the most fun camps I?ve been to. It was a really good learning experience and we bonded as a team. What did you do there? We scrimmaged a lot. We were up at 6 a.m., had breakfast and then were on the field for three hours. We had lunch, went back to the field for another three hours, had dinner and spent another three hours on the field. We did drills to begin with, learned techniques and then scrimmaged against other teams. Camp was from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. What would you say you learned? A lot. We definitely learned how to hit better, tackle, block and head butt. What do you like about playing football? It?s just really fun, organized violence. I?ve been playing since I was 8 and I started playing the last year before the Colts became the Zebras. My brother played every sport and so he encouraged me to play football. What position do you play for the school?s varsity football team? Tight end but I?ve played every position since I was 8. I get the best of both worlds as tight end. I get to catch the ball and block. Did you choose to play tight end? It was what I was best at. What?s your favorite subject in school? History, for sure. I like learning about past events, like how stuff has changed and how we acted then and now. What do you plan to do after graduation next year? First, I?ll see where football takes me, and if not, I?ll start off at a junior college and work my way up to a four-year school. What would be your dream school to play football at? I like the Gators so University of Florida (in Gainesville). I like their offense, the school, their colors and it?s Florida.
