Lincoln resident Kelli Gnile was elected to Placer County Board of Education. She fills the seat for Area 2, which covers Lincoln.
In the November election, there were four open seats on the Placer County Board of Education.
New members were sworn in at the Dec. 13 board meeting.
The other new members joining current board members Robert Tomasini (Area 1), Suzanne Jones (Area 1) and E. Ken Tokutomi (Area 4) are Susan Goto (Area 1), David Patterson (Area 3) and incumbent Lynn Oliver (Area 4).
Gnile comes to the Placer County Board of Education with 20 years of experience in education. First elected to the Rocklin Unified School District Board in 1992, she went on to serve on the Horizon Charter School Board and the Pleasant Grove School Site Council.
She has raised five children and worked on numerous committees and in the classroom as a volunteer. Her husband, Scott, previously served on the Placer County Board of Education for approximately 20 years.
