Jessup’s Warriors break into win column

Rocklin’s Jordan Wilson delivered five assists and 11 points for William Jessup University mens basketball to help the Warriors top New Hope Christian College, 76-67, Saturday night. Jessup’s Marqus Crawford came up big with a double-double 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the club, Patrick Adelman added 14 points shooting 6-for-8 from the floor. Them men go on the road for a three-day trip to Oregon to go up against New Hope Christian, Thursday, and then tangle with Northwest Christian University, Friday. The Warriors cap off the trip against Corban University in Salem, Ore., Saturday. Womens Basketball In exhibition play, William Jessup’s womens team roughed up UC Merced, 75-37. No statistics were reported on this contest. In a second exhibition match up against NCAA Division I St. Mary’s College, the Warriors took it on the chin, 82-43. Grass Valley’s Cassie Davidson led the team with 16 points, while senior Maria Viola dropped in eight, and pulled down 10 boards. William Jessup will also head for Oregon on a three-game excursion beginning with Willamette University in Salem, Thursday.
