Friends present $3,750 check to city for library program

-A +A
On behalf of the Friends of the Lincoln Public Library, I want to thank the residents of Lincoln, businesses and foundations for their support of the library program, Mother Goose on the Loose. Because of your donations, the Friends were able to present to the city of Lincoln a check in the amount of $3,750 during last Tuesday?s City Council meeting to fund Mother Goose on the Loose for the first six months of the 2012-2013 fiscal year. I was pleased to report there have been 6,924 participants in this program to date in the 2011-2012 fiscal year and, with one more week left, we will reach over 7,000. Your donations and grants to the Friends made this possible. And remember, these donations not only fund the program but keep the library open an extra three hours a week. So when you think of the library being open 23 hours, realize that the ?3? in ?23? is because of your donations. Thank you all. Karen Jarrell, President Friends of the Lincoln Public Library, Lincoln
