John Marling, president and founder of Pulse Research from Portland, Ore., will be the presenter. The free in-formational seminar is sponsored by the Auburn Journal and Gold Country Media and is open to any area business interested in learning more about accessing and more deeply understanding current regional shopping research in hundreds of business categories. ?We are happy to bring John Marling to our area to offer expert advice to area businesses,? said Jean Lund, publisher of The Lincoln News Messenger. ?Pulse Research has done more than 4,000 local, regional and national surveys. We hope local business owners will take the time to learn more from this informational seminar.? ?My mission is to help local businesses realize they can quickly get more customers and revenue using current shopping research and a simple seven-step plan. Recently a hardware store told me they increased revenue 21 percent in the last year directly from the suggestions and information presented in the seminar,? Marling said. ?Over the last two years, I have personally worked with over 600 businesses across the United States. I am excited about being invited by Gold Country Media to present the business opportunities from the just completed Pulse of America consumer shopping research and share ideas on how you can increase your revenue.? The seminar will be centrally located to provide a short drive from almost all Placer County businesses. It will be held at the Rocklin Event Center off Sunset Boulevard. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. while the free seminar is from 9 to 10 a.m. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided for guests. Seating is limited.
