Two Lincoln residents and a Sacramento resident are behind bars after a July 4 collision and break-in, police said. Sacramento resident Donald Bray III crashed his car Saturday morning, coming to rest on top of an electrical box on Highway 65 near the Sterling Point shopping center. At 7:10, when PG&E had cleared the vehicle to be towed off the electrical box, 118.9 grams of marijuana were discovered in the car, according to Sgt. Kevin Klemp of the Lincoln Police Department. Police called Bray to the towing yard, where he was also found to be in possession of cocaine, and police arrested him, according to Klemp. At about 11:30, officers responded to a break-in at the Ace Towing Yard on East Avenue, where they discovered Lincoln residents Colleen Maharaj and Kevin Devencenzi. According to Klemp, the pair had “conspired to enter the locked tow yard to search Bray’s vehicle for marijuana.” Davencenzi allegedly stole a prescription bottle of Vicodin from the vehicle as well. All three were booked into the Placer County Jail. Brandon Darnell can be reached be e-mail at
