The Lincoln News Messenger is proud to partner with the League of Women Voters of Placer County in adding another City Council candidate forum. There are now four council forums. However, the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce’s forum has a charge of $18 to $20 and the Lincoln Hills Homeowners Association forum is open only to Lincoln Hills residents. The News’ Messenger’s co-sponsored forum, free and open to all Lincoln residents, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Lincoln High School theater at 790 J St. Both co-sponsors hope all ages attend the forum. “This is an excellent opportunity to get to know the candidates and what their thoughts and ideas are for managing the city’s future,” said Kathy Souza, the League of Women Voters of Placer County’s communications director. Call The News Messenger at 645-7733 for more information about the forums. City Council candidate forums: Wednesday: 6 p.m. at Lincoln Crossing Clubhouse, 830 Groveland Lane.
