A victim of molestation, domestic abuse, drugs and alcohol, Linda Leone has overcome another obstacle—writing her life story that involved some of the most heart-wrenching and inspiring events imaginable in her memoir, “Escape: How I Fight the Demons of My Past and Win.” Leone said her torment and abuse began when she was sexually molested at six. Her childhood gave way to a painful adult life, according to Leone. After hitting rock bottom, Leone said, she sought therapy. Writing this book, Leone said, helped her recover. “I am a nobody with a huge story to tell,” Leone said. “I think people will find it refreshing to read about a real person’s struggle to overcome traumatic experiences and succeed in recovery and living a healthy life.” Her message is one that sings the praises of professional help, something the author admits was essential in helping her begin to heal—and hope—once again. “Escape: How I Fight the Demons of My Past and Win” is available for sale at This autobiography is Leone’s first book. ~ Staff report
