Week ending July 4 The Lincoln Fire Department responded to 76 calls for service during the week ending July 4. The incident totals and types included: 50 Medical Aids – Including two motor vehicle accidents 7 Fires – Including one mutual aid call to the city of Rocklin for a structure fire, four grass fires and 2 structure fires 2 Public Assists 1 Hazardous Conditions – Odor check 11 Good Intent Calls 5 False Alarms The Fourth of July Holiday was unusually calm for the Lincoln Fire Department. While there were no reported structure fires within the city of Lincoln, Engine Company No. 35 did respond to the city of Rocklin to provide mutual aid for a house fire. The fire was contained quickly and Engine No. 35 returned within 30 minutes. Several small grass fires were contained to small areas. The Lincoln Fire Department would like to thank residents for being safe this year. Al-though there were still some illegal fireworks used this year, the amount seemed to be lower than in years past.
