Fire Log for the week ending Aug. 15 The Lincoln Fire Department responded to 57 calls for service during the week ending Aug. 15. The incident totals and types included: • 33 Emergency Medical Services (Medical Aids) • 6 Fires – Including 5 small grass and bark fires, and one Engine Company still deployed on a local government Strike Team. They are currently assigned to the Yuba Fire. • 1 Hazardous Condition • 4 Public Assists • 12 Good Intents • 1 False Alarm. • Several small fires kept Lincoln firefighters busy, along with surrounding jurisdictions. In addition, the Lincoln Fire Department still has a Brush Engine (Type III) assigned to the Yuba Fire. Initially dispatched to Shasta County for the Shasta Lightning Fire Complex on Aug. 4, they were reassigned twice over the past week to the Weaverville Fire and most recently the Yuba Fire. The battle is going well and the firefighters are safe and doing great work. The Lincoln Fire Department would like to remind everyone that we are still in the season where fires can start very easily and move very rapidly.
