Ferrari Ranch Road lane to temporarily close Friday

-A +A
Westbound lanes will be closed on Ferrari Ranch Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday as part of the Lincoln bypass project. One westbound lane will remain open at all times to facilitate vehicle passage during the short-term lane closures. The westbound lanes are closed only Friday, according to a Placer County Transportation Planning Agency press release, to allow construction crews to apply traffic striping on Ferrari Ranch Road for the next stage of construction. The next stage of construction will add right turning lanes for the north and southbound Route 65 on-ramps and is expected to last three months. Throughout this construction phase, the westbound Ferrari Ranch Road sidewalk will be closed between Groveland Lane and Caledon Circle. Pedestrians on the westbound Ferrari Ranch Road sidewalk will instead use the pedestrian crossing at either Groveland Lane or Caledon Circle to travel on the eastbound Ferrari Ranch Road sidewalk between those crossroads. Pending bad weather, this stage of the project should be completed by Nov. 19, with the westbound Ferrari Ranch Road sidewalk to reopen at this time, according to the transportation planning agency’s press release. The Lincoln Bypass will open in 2012. For more information, go to , click on “projects” and then “Highway 65 Lincoln Bypass.” ~ Staff report
