Fall Lincoln recreation guide will be online

The Fall/Winter 2008 Recreation Guide will be available online beginning Friday and will be delivered to every mailbox in Lincoln at the end of August. The Recreation Guide is a publication of the City of Lincoln Recreation Department that is mailed three times per year. The guide is designed to inform Lincoln residents of recreational opportunities in the community. The Recreation Department offers a variety of programs for all ages. Also, it will be adding a fall session for swim lessons. Registration for all fall programs will begin Monday. For those who weren’t able to attend summer swim lessons either due to full classes or cancelled classes due to poor air quality, the Recreation Department is offering a fall session for swim lessons. The session begins Sept. 2-12, Tuesday through Friday. The department is offering Level, Level 2 and Level 3 courses at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sign-ups for Lincoln Youth Basketball League will begin Aug. 25. Coming back for its second season, the Lincoln Youth Basketball program has made many adjustments and improvements to the league. Whether you are looking to learn and enjoy the game or you are ready to take your skills to the next level, come be apart of Lincoln Youth Basketball. Additionally, camps will be offered during fall and winter school breaks.
