On Sunday August 7th, 2011, Boy Scouts of America Troop 160 Lincoln formally celebrated an Eagle Court of Honor for four young men who earned their Eagle Scout ranks on June 15, 2011. These four young men are BSA Lincoln Troop 160’s sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth Eagle Scouts to date. The Eagle Court of Honor was held at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Lincoln, and was attended by Troop members, friends, family and members of the VFW Post 3010, which is the Troop’s Charter Organization. Each Scout completed several rank requirements including Leadership positions, community service projects, multiple Merit Badges, and an individual Eagle Project requiring project management. Erik Spitzer’s and Kyle Sleeth’s Eagle Projects benefited the Lincoln Ladies Club, and Garret Adair’s and Devin Williams’ Eagle Projects benefited the Fruitvale School. Lincoln Boy Scout Troop 160 meets Tuesday evenings at the Lincoln VFW Hall at 7 pm and welcomes new members. The Troop provides boys opportunities to experience personal growth, friendships, fun and adventure.
