A 27-year-old Lincoln woman was hit by a train as she attempted to drive across the tracks at Ferrari Ranch Road and Highway 65 around 7:30a.m. Tuesday, police said. The woman was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with moderate injuries after firefighters extricated her from her mangled Honda Accord. Lt. Terry Kennedy of the Lincoln Police Department said her injuries were limited to a few cracked ribs and a broken bone. Police said their preliminary investigation indicates that the woman was traveling east on Ferrari Ranch Road when her car was struck by the northbound train. No other vehicles were involved in the collision, and no one else was in the car.
