The Lincoln Hills Coyote 60s Blues finished second in the Folsom/Elk Grove/Yuba City tournament which was held at Antelope High School complex, July 30-31. The Blues finished 4-1 in the tournament, but were defeated in the championship game when the Sacramento Islanders came through the back door with one loss already on their record. Both teams had four wins total. The Coyotes averaged 16 runs per game and a .647 batting average aided by these offensive leaders, John Dambrosio hit .833 with two home runs, Jim Jones averaged .800 with three dingers and 13 runs-batted in., and Dale Hurlbut also averaged .800 at the plate. Ron Greeno and Hurlbut also made key defensive plays. The Blues have won three tournaments and hope to add to that total with upcoming tourneys in Manteca, Folsom, and Medford, Ore. Their season will finish at the World Senior Games in St. George, Utah, where they hope to gain another gold medal as they did in 2009.
