The Coyote 60s, a Lincoln Hills senior softball team, traveled to Nevada over the weekend and came away with their first tournament championship of the year. The tournament was played in Sparks. The Coyote 70s played in the Sun Eagle Invitational at Del Webb Field and finished in second place with a record of 4-2. The only losses came to tourney-champion Walnut Creek. Ed Sorensen (.722 batting average, homer, 11 RBI), Larry Manley (.722), John Maranta (two triples), John Parks (.714, triple) and Rowan Carlson (homer, triple) led the Lincoln offense in the invitational.
