Community supports band, choir

The city of Lincoln and our neighbor, Roseville, once again supported our youth. On Saturday, Jan. 16, the music department at Glen Edwards Middle School held its second annual spaghetti feed, complete with entertainment. We all know that an event such as this would not be successful without those who volunteered their time, talents and products. Our appreciation is extended to Mina’s Coffee House, located on Del Webb Boulevard for the donation of delicious coffee. Other donations were generously given by Nugget Markets (Rose-ville), Old Town Pizza, Safeway, Sierra Hills Framing; Starbucks on Highway 65, TCBY, The Place Gallery, Trader Joe’s (Roseville) and World Market (Roseville). Special donations were provided by the Liechty and (J&M) Peterson families. We also recognize Raley’s for allowing GEMS to advertise our dinner and to their patrons for their kindhearted donations. Finally, we extend a huge hug to Jocelyn Cuenca for organizing this event. Thank you everyone for sending our youth to attend a music competition in San Francisco this May. Their performance, under the musical direction of Peter Schram, is sure to make Lincoln proud! Vincent and Marlene Marello, Lincoln
