Community supporting students bound for Carnegie Hall

-A +A
To the citizens of Lincoln, as a parent of a student in the Lincoln High School Choir that is going to sing at Carnegie Hall, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped to raise the money necessary for this event. The total cost of sending the choir to this prestigious event is over $62,000 and, this community has stepped up to the plate in a big way. I attended the Vaudeville Show in Lincoln Hills on Saturday and the turnout was fantastic! The show was more than entertaining, it had a little of everything including a hilarious performance to the song "Sisters" from the movie White Christmas. For those who were there, you know what I mean! Saturday’s performance was one of many over the past few months. To everyone who purchased a ticket to any one of these performance events, thank you. The support given by our friends in Lincoln Hills has been outstanding; thank you. There has been tremendous support from our local churches; thank you. To everyone who purchase candy from a choir member or came out to Carnegie Fest or any of the other events, thank you. To the faculty and other parents who have invested their time and energy to help our kids have a once-in-a -lifetime experience, thank you. The response of this community has been tremendous and it makes me proud to say I live in Lincoln. Thank you. Mike Miller, Lincoln
