Tri-Counties Bank stepped up as a sponsor, and around 40 golfers did as well, to benefit the Lincoln High School golf program during the Fighting Zebras’ fundraising golf tournament, Turkey Creek Golf Club, Sept. 30. Coordinated by the Lincoln High School Booster Club, they rallied the community leaders to spread the word and help bring in the golfers. The Zebras’ girls golf team turned out to assist with registration, and participate in “Buy a Drive.” Buy a Drive allowed golfers to purchase a drive to be hit by one of the members of the golf team. Turkey Creek provided a great golfing venue, and Mother Nature provided a beautiful day. Tri-Counties Bank was the platinum sponsor of the day. Also coming forward to help with sponsorship were: Mikuni, Twelve Bridges Carpet and Tile Care, Beach Hut Deli, Disney, Total Wine, Fallen Leaf Landscape, Will Robbins Golf, Rivercats, Infineon Raceway, Lincoln Gun Exchange, Cheesecake Factory, Golf Galaxy, Stella and Dot Jewelry, Fingers and Toes, Abbi’s Grooming, Four21 Salon, Rancho Roble Vineyard, Lincoln Hills Golf Club, US Cryotherapy, Turkey Creek Golf Club, Safeway, Wise Villa Winery and Nugget Market. The tournament was topped off with a tri-tip dinner, awards, a silent auction, and a raffle. The Booster Club invites sponsors to sign up early for next year; e-mail Toby Faingold, zebrabooster@earthlink.net.
