Chamber presents awards, installs officers

During the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce annual Awards & Installation Breakfast on Wednesday, Mayor Paul Joiner installed the new 2011 board members. They are Ruth Alves, Placer County Board of Supervisors; Becky Bell, River City Bank; Cindy Eveler, Mason-McDuffie Mortgage; C.J. Graham, Thunder Valley Casino & Resort; Brian Jensen, Pacific Gas & Electric Company; Tom Jones, Sierra Hills Framing; Daryn Kumar, Sutter Roseville Medical Center; Claire Luke, Community Foundation of Lincoln; Mark Luster, Sierra Pacific Industries; Tina McCauslin, David L. Bonuccelli & Associates, Inc.; Flaviane Petersen, Personalized Dental Care; Clifton Taylor, Richland Planned Communities; Bill Turner, Williams & Paddon; and Rob Wolf, Keller Williams Real Estate. Eveler was named incoming president; McCauslin, past president; Luster, president elect; Graham, first vice president; Luke second vice president and Alves, secretary. There were nine categories for the 2010 Business Excellence Awards: Friendliest Business – River City Bank Community Service – Rotary Club Green Business – PG &E Best New Business – Shelley’s Sweet Sensations Business Achievement – Thunder Valley Casino & Resort Restaurant of the Year – Buonarroti Ristorante Best Website/Social Media – Lincoln Police Department Nonprofit Business – Lighthouse Counseling & Family Resource Center Business Person of the Year –Rob Wolf. Wolf was also named as Ambassador of the Year 2010. Alves was named Volunteer of the Year 2010. The 2010 Presidents Award was given to Steve Art, who is leaving Lincoln to be economic development and urban renewal manager for the city of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
