Gary Miller is barking up the wrong tree when he tries to use high fuel prices as an excuse to put liberals like Jack Uppal back in charge of the Congress (Oct. 11 News Messenger, page A7, “Uppal is needed for Congress”).
Congressman Tom McClintock has taken a leading role in Congress to end subsidies of all kinds and to free up America’s vast energy resources for American development.
And if Jack Uppal is a “fiscal conservative,” why is he backed by ultra-leftist Michael Moore, while every taxpayer group is backing McClintock?
How desperate are Uppal’s supporters to put out this kind of nonsense?
