More than 80 vendors signed on for the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Business Expo May 8 – more than triple last year’s count, said chamber CEO Bobbi Park. “I didn’t realize how wonderful the Expo was until I reflected back on all the people I saw there,” Park said. “There seemed to be a constant buzz in the air and excitement.” Park said that the chamber handed out surveys and they are in the process of compiling them. The comments have been positive so far, she said. “Everyone said they were pleasantly surprised, they said the exposure was well worth it,” she added. This year’s free expo was held at McBean Park Pavilion. Along with major sponsors PG&E and Wave Broadband Cable, registered vendors were a mix of local businesses, as well as those from other areas of South Placer, including William Jessup University, the Magic Circle Theater and Costco. In keeping with this year’s regional emphasis, the California Department of Transportation gave presentations on the massive Highway 65 bypass project.
