Armed robbery at pharmacy
By: Brandon Darnell, News Messenger Reporter
A gunman entered Twelve Bridges Pharmacy at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, demanding drugs, according Dr. Henry Le, owner of the pharmacy. “He came in and requested medication with a handgun,” Le said. No one in the pharmacy was harmed, and Le said employees let the gunman – who wore dark sunglasses and a fishing hat to hide his identity – take whatever drugs he wanted. Police described the gunman as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds and with an acne-scarred face. Le described the drugs as narcotic and said the suspect is a man between 20 and 25 years of age. This is the first time the pharmacy has been robbed, according to Le. According to Lt. David Ibarra of the Lincoln Police Department, the gunman fled to an area behind the business, jumped into a late-model, white Toyota pickup driven by another male and fled the scene. The suspects were last seen traveling north on Highway 65 at Twelve Bridges Boulevard, Ibarra said. Lincoln police detectives are investigating, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 645-4040. Brandon Darnell can be reached by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
