From historic homes to elegant country club estates, the Woman’s Club of Lincoln’s Home and Garden Tour on Sept. 30 offers a variety of showcase homes in the Lincoln area.
The Home and Garden Tour will feature five houses, including two historic residences in downtown Lincoln, two Catta Verdera homes and a 13-acre rural estate.
During the tour, the Woman’s Club of Lincoln will host a boutique offering custom clothing, jewelry, home décor, refreshments, raffles and more in the historic clubhouse at 499 E. St. in Lincoln.
The tour is an “open door” into premier homes and gardens, according to Woman’s Club event co-chairwoman Harriet Garland.
“You have an opportunity to see a variety of spacious homes with elegant décor, antiques and fabulous views,” Garland said.
In its second year, the garden portion includes the Bywater Hollow Lavender Farm grounds, according to Woman’s Club of Lincoln President Fran Neves.
“Everyone who came last year loved it,” Neves said. “The tour incorporates the historical downtown as well as elegant custom-built homes in Catta Verdera.”
The Home and Garden Tour is a benefit to raise funds for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) improvements for the 93-year old Woman’s Club of Lincoln.
The property requires $50,000 in structural changes over the next four years, according to ADA chairwoman Claire Luke.
The Woman’s Club of Lincoln meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. at the historic clubhouse.
