The USA BMX Northern California State Finals are coming to Roseville's Oak Creek BMX again. The event is scheduled for Sept. 19-21.

Oak Creek BMX has a long history of hosting the event because of its ability to gain more points than other tracks in the area. Since 1985, the track has been awarded the event every year but three.

Last year, an impressive 600 entries turned out and it looks as if that number will increase this year. The participants come from all over Northern California.

The riders are boys, girls, men and women in age groups ranging from 18 months to 70.

The winners of the State Finals will be entered in the Race of Champions at Grand Nationals in Oklahoma City during Thanksgiving.

There are many tracks that compete for the State Finals, including Santa Clara, Chico, Manteca and Napa. Oak Creek BMX works hard to retain the State Finals and ranks in the top 2 percent of all tracks in the U.S. and Canada.

Fans are encouraged to head out to the track to see all the BMX action.
