Fortunately it was an invitational meet last Saturday, as there appeared to be some confusion at the finish line as to just where everyone finished in the Oakmont Invitational meet at Maidu Park in Roseville.

The event included 19 schools running in the boy’s event and 18 ran in the girl’s.

The Fighting Zebras competed in varsity and girl’s frosh/soph and JV.

Megan Snook led the Lincoln girls and placed in the 61st spot. Her time was 17 minutes and 52 seconds over the 2.5-mile course.

Behind Snook were Haley Higgins, Mackenzie Simpson, Alex Ceja and Kayla Blaylock. The quintet ran just three minutes and 31 seconds apart.

Aviana Rivas also ran for the Zebras.

Frosh/Soph – Mackie Overbay recorded a time of 17:05 in 17th place. Behind her were Destiny Everett, Sarah Lopez, Millie Hinson and Saedy Williamson; their separation was 1:49. Also running was Natalie Jossis, Marin Garrett, Lexuz Ledezma, Brisa Reyes, Macy Hopping, Ashlyn Egan Salma Elliessy, Tyler Smith, Madeline Merrill, Kara Burns, Cathrine Hughes and Eva Lehenbauer.

JV – Courtney Holland was 22nd in a time of 20:48. Rounding out the team were Hatalie Musil, Madison Trocha, Mackenzie Meacham and Francesa Rapiti with a separation time of 2:22. Mikayla Felice also competed.
