LHS Class of ’66 to host 50-year reunionBy: Carol Percy, Reporter
Good food, the music of the ’60s and old friends are on the itinerary for Lincoln High School’s Class of ’66 50-year reunion.
Sponsored by graduates from the Class of 1966, the reunion is also open to the school’s graduation classes of 1965 and 1967, according to Elizabeth Jansen, one of the event’s promoters.
The reunion is an opportunity to “touch base and catch up with friends from high school days,” Jansen said.
“We would love to see everyone who can possibly make it. This doesn’t happen every year,” Jansen said.
The Class of ’66 50-year reunion will take place on Sept. 17 at the Turkey Creek Golf Club. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and a buffet dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
The dinner features tri-tip, chicken, roasted potatoes, green beans, rolls, Caesar salad, non-alcoholic drinks and dessert. The event includes a no-host bar and music from the ’60s, Jansen said.
The cost is $35 per person. The Turkey Creek Golf Club is located at 1525 Highway 193 in Lincoln.
To attend, fill out a class reunion reservation form and return to a class representative before Sept. 6. Invitations were sent out by email and regular mail in July, according to Jansen.
