The Woman’s Club of Lincoln had a cooling and fun ice cream social on Tuesday!

Some of what the Woman’s Club does in the community includes donating to The Salt Mine, Lincoln Meadows, Lincoln High School Choir, Better Living Center, Kitten Central, Fieldhaven Feline Center, Community Christian School and the Multiple Sclerosis Walk.

Many of the members are volunteers in other clubs serving the community such as the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Lincoln Association, Rotary, Lincoln Library, the Lincoln Area Archives Museum, the Veterans Auxiliary and many churches.

The Woman’s Club members have many talents. Some are still working. Some own their own businesses. Some are retired. They have members of various generations.

The meetings usually have a program and interesting speakers. Some of the annual activities include a salad luncheon, fashion show, cookie exchange, and a luncheon and photographing in a Lincoln restaurant.

Currently, members are planning the second annual home tour for Sept. 30, which this year will be a home and garden tour. They are also actively fundraising to make the 93-year-old building become Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant. They are receiving bids for a ramp and an additional entrance to their facility.
