‘The Little Mermaid’ swims into Lincoln

Come “Under the Sea” and meet the cast of Lincoln Theatre Company’s next production, “The Little Mermaid” at the Civic Auditorium.

The 30-plus cast members will bring this Disney favorite to the Lincoln Civic Auditorium from July 21 to July 30.

The show includes all the songs from the movie, such as “Part of Your World,” “Kiss the Girl,” “Unfortunate Souls” and “Under the Sea.”

 It also contains new music created especially for the live show.

Lincoln residents Tabitha Jones is cast as Ariel and Tia Norwood is cast as Ursula, with Michael Budd as Prince Eric and Matthew Todd as King Triton. Other major roles are Dylan Whitehead as Grimsby, Tony Gomez as Sebastian, Aleri Cubias as Flounder, Grace Stanley as Scuttle, Alisa Hansen as Flotsam and Ayla Kubochi as Jetsom.

“The Little Mermaid” is directed and choreographed by Cindy Stanley, who worked on the theatre company’s production of “Bye Bye Birdie.”

 Music direction is by Kim Cyrus. The sets are designed and built by Lee Basham, set designer of “Music Man,” assisted by Wendy-Jean Iannico.

Show dates are 7:30 p.m. July 21, 22, 28 and 29 and 2 p.m. matinees July 23 and 30. Tickets are from $15.50 to $17.50.
