Packed crowds have filled McBean Stadium ever since the Lincoln Potters Baseball Club returned to Lincoln after 49 years. The Lincoln Potters are giving the town something to cheer for as they stand solo in first-place in the Great West League with a record of 9-3.

The Great West League consists of five other teams: the Chico Heat, Medford Rogues, Portland Pickles, Marysville Gold Sox and Yuba City Bears.

The town of Lincoln has been very welcoming in the return of the Potters. The off season leading up to opening day was full of hard work and dedication to ensure that all fans in attendance would thoroughly enjoy hanging out at the ballpark all summer long. Before the season even began, the Potters kicked off the summer with a Fan Fest to help introduce the Lincoln Potters to Lincoln residents and businesses.

And the Fan Fest seemed to make the excitement of the Potters a reality considering the season’s home-opener alone brought a crowd of 1,657 and the crowds have continued to be big throughout the season, thanks to the winning performance that the Potters are putting on.

The Potters consist of 33 collegiate players, each who bring something special to the team. The Potters are dominating the Great West League’s leader scoreboards and are making a name for themselves. On the season, the Potters have hit five home runs, scored 89 runs, have 120 hits and 75 RBIs. On the mound, the Potters have 89 strikeouts and have only allowed 65 runs, the second-lowest in the Great West League.

Another aspect that is bringing the town of Lincoln out to the ballpark are all of the promotional nights that the Potters put on. With the support of all 32 partners and growing, the Potters have teamed up with them to make sure the fans are getting the most enjoyable experience out of the game. If coming to the ballpark, make sure to check out what dates are promotional giveaways and what dates are promo nights for food and beer.

The Lincoln Potters still have 24 more home games at McBean Stadium so don't miss out on the opportunity to come watch your Potters take on the Great West League.

The Lincoln Potters are more than just a baseball team as they're another reason for the town of Lincoln to come together. So come on down to McBean Stadium and don't forget to Potter Up!
