Cycling through Placer CountyBy: Tom Frady
I have to get younger friends.
We have a loose tradition in my group of riding “Birthday Rides” to honor those with birthdays during the month. We ride a mile for every year of age. For us, that means 70 to 80 miles.
Here are some pictures from The Birthday Ride for three of us, including yours truly.
Seventy-one miles from Lincoln, up through Auburn to Applegate, more climbing to Dog Bar Road, down Magnolia to Higgins Corner for lunch, then home.
It’s not an easy ride.
