April 25

Manuel Rodriguez Jr., 41, of Woodland, was arrested on suspicion of passing an unauthorized and altered check at Thunder Valley Casino in rural Lincoln. A search of a vehicle found 200 pieces of mail.

A locked residence in the  200-block of North Auburn’s North Hillbrook Road was burglarized. One safe was cut open and then an attempt was made on a second one before the theft of a laptop, Weed Eater, chainsaw and loose change.

April 23

Marissa Maria Musselman, 36, a transient, was arrested at rural Lincoln’s Thunder Valley Casino on suspicion of attempting to pass a fraudulent check and using a false government ID.   

April 24

Matthew Sinclair Rhines, 37, an Auburn transient, was arrested at Garnet Way and Sapphire Drive in North Auburn on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.       

April 20

A vehicle burglary was reported at Thunder Valley Casino in rural Lincoln, with $1,300 in property reported stolen.

April 17

A theft was reported from a vehicle parked in the 4100-block Bonanza Way of Loomis. Property taken was valued at $945.

Three windows were broken on a Mid-Placer Transportation bus parked at Del Oro High School in Loomis. Damage was an estimated $500.


April 16

A window was smashed to break into a vehicle parked at Thunder Valley Casino in the Lincoln area. A Sacramento man reported a loss of $750 in property.


April 25

Nova Rainbow Johnson, 39, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation. The arrest took place in the 2100-block Grass Valley Highway in North Auburn.

April 24

Sean Adam Matthews, 32, a Colfax transient, was arrested in Colfax on suspicion of possession of meth. The arrest took place at 7 p.m. in the 700-block Amy Way.

Two drug related arrests were made at the Foresthill Bridge. Donald Arthur Verbrugge, 56, and Christina Jewel Verbrugge, 20, both of Alta were arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances.

Martin James Theoboldt, 31, of Citrus Heights, was cited and released on a promise to appear in court on suspicion of possession of meth and possession of a glass meth pipe. The citation was issued at 1:30 a.m. in Colfax at the Highway 174 overpass and South Auburn Street.

Santos Ardemedo, 32, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and violating probation by being in possession of alcohol. The arrest took place at 7 p.m. in the 900-block of North Auburn’s Blitz Lane.

April 23

Two Foresthill residents were arrested after a Bowman vehicle stop in the 13400-block Lincoln Way — Krystal Lynn Hawkins, 33, of Foresthill on suspicion of possession of stolen property and Casey Lee Ford, 44, on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

A Bowman vehicle break-in was reported in the 13400-block Lincoln Way. A 69-year-old Florence, Ariz. woman reported a window was smashed and a purse stolen. The loss was an estimated $300. A surveillance video shows a 1998 Honda Accord being driven away with two men inside — and the purse.

April 22

A 25-year-old Santa Barbara woman left her wallet inside a fitting room at the North Auburn Goodwill store. When she returned, it was gone. The loss was an estimated $170.
