Tickets are now on sale for the fourth annual Lincoln Wine Fest that will feature 19 wineries on May 2.

By press time Wednesday, about 150 tickets were sold, according to Lincoln Wine Fest chairwoman and Rotary Club of Lincoln member Joann Hilton.

The Rotary Club of Lincoln presents the wine fest. Hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. in downtown Lincoln

“I believe our sales are ahead and we’re happy about that,” Hilton said. “We will sell a maximum of 800 tickets.”

Tickets in advance are $35 and $40 at the door.

Admission includes a commemorative wine glass, unlimited wine tastings, and finger food and desserts.

Hilton proudly pointed out that the 19 award-winning Placer county wineries won a total of 52 awards at the 2014 California State fair.

Tickets can be bought online at lincolnwinefest.org or at Mr. Pickle’s, Sierra Hills Framing, the Lincoln Gun Shop or the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce. Or call Hilton at 408-0346.

Lincoln Wine Fest proceeds will go to the Downtown Lincoln Association and Rotary Club of Lincoln’s community projects.

“We don’t consider this a fundraiser. It’s under our community service,” Hilton said. “We do it to encourage people to visit our lovely, historic downtown and to establish Lincoln as the gateway to Placer County Wineries. It’s a heck of a lot of work but we do it for our downtown.”

Featured wineries are Bear River Winery, Bonitata Boutique Wine, Cante Ao Vinha, Casque Wines, Ciotti Cellars, Cristaldi Vineyards, Davis Dean Cellars, Dono Dal Cielo Winery, Fawnridge Wine, Lone Buffalo Vineyards, PaZa Vineyards, Pescatore Vineyards, Popie Wines, Rancho Roble Vineyards, River Rock Ranch, Rock Hill Winery, Secret Ravine Vineyards, Vina Castellano Winery and Wise Villa Winery.
