Having fun at The Compass partiesBy: Maggie Rose McGurk
Fun community involvement in action!
We all had fun Saturday at Lincoln Hills getting the Compass magazine ready for residents. I especially enjoyed watching the teamwork and efficiency of all the volunteers!
The Compass is a monthly publication to inform and entertain residents. Since the beginning, 40 to 50 fun, nice Lincoln Hills residents volunteer their time to collate the Compass publication with fliers on the 14th of each month in the Orchard Creek Living Room. If you’re a resident, join the group and have some fun!
Carol and Frank McGara have been the leaders of this volunteer group for nine years.
“All the volunteers are saving us lots of money,” said Carol McGara. “Sun City Lincoln Hills could not afford the expense of hiring a company to do what the volunteers are doing.”
Thank you, volunteers!
Besides this team, residents write the stories, others hand out the magazine and many others give of their time to make this community a fun place to live.
While I was there Saturday, several residents commented that when they go on trips, they miss our community and are happy to come home!
We have fun nice residents and everything we could possible want from many clubs to enjoy and to stay healthy. You can walk on the trails outside or walk on the inside track above the heated pool! There are always fun things to do!
