Life in the Bike Lane column
While the rainy weather has been good for the drought, it is tough on avid cyclists.
Finding time to get out between rainstorms can be a challenge, especially when family, business and life get in the way.
But once out in the chilly mornings, the rewards are many.
You will note in these photographs, the riders are wearing long sleeves, even on a sunny day. Cycling wind breakers are at least water resistant so a little drizzle won’t stop the ride.
On alternate weeks, this column features photographs from Placer County (and maybe some neighbors) taken while riding my bike. My hope is that the reader will be inspired to get on a bike and ride. This is a beautiful area and a wonderful place to bicycle. Tom Frady is a Lincoln resident and avid cyclist and driver.
