Lincoln Police Chief Doug Lee and Lincoln-Rocklin Fire Chief Bill Hack presented many ways to protect us.

Thank you, Neighborhood Watch, for the annual Spring Safety and Security Symposium on March 29!

Lincoln Police Chief Doug Lee and Lincoln-Rocklin Fire Chief, Bill Hack presented many ways to protect us and our community.

Police Chief Lee suggested:

* Always lock your car when you leave it outdoors.

* Keep valuables out of sight so you do not attract burglars.

* Do not leave your home address in your GPS. Instead, use 1500 Del Webb Boulevard.

* Put your car keys beside your bed at night, and if you hear a noise outside, just press the key’s panic button.

* Keep your outdoor lights on all night and consider motion-sensor lights and cameras near exterior doors.

Lincoln Rocklin Fire Chief Bill Hack made it clear that “we are in Northern California and are in wildfire country!”

We need to remove dead trees and dead weeds, which are fuel for a wildfire.

When winds get up to 70 miles per hour, it is too late. The fire department cannot stop a wildfire. So remove the fuel.

We can protect ourselves and our community by taking precautions to remove dead trees and dead weeds!

Please let me know if you would like me to photograph/document any area in Lincoln to clearly show where there are danger areas. Let those in charge know about dead trees and dead weeds that need to be removed to prevent a wildfire. Thank you.
