The Lincoln High girls soccer team finished the first week of play with a 2-1 record, but hit a lull last week to finish 1-2.

The Fighting Zebras found their stride Wednesday and defeated Natomas 4-0 to improve to 4-3-0 on the season.

Lincoln 2, Wheatland 0

The Zebras defeated the Highway 65 rival Pirates 2-0 on the Lincoln pitch Friday.

Against their Highway 65 rival Pirates Cynthia Chavez and Lexi Nordby both scored goals, with each getting an assist from Kylie Toto.

However, the Zebras suffered a dry spell Monday and Wednesday. The club scored just one goal in losing on the road against Pioneer and El Camino.

Autumn Bersch scored the goal, her third goal in five games, taking a pass from Toto.

The Zebras travel to Inderkum for a Friday-Saturday tournament.
