Incumbents lead early in Western Placer Unified School District board race

Armitage, Wyatt lead in Area Three; Haley leads in Area Two

Incumbents running for re-election to the Western Placer Unified School District board of trustees were leading as of 9 p.m. Tuesday night, according to results posted by the Placer County Elections Office.

Brian Haley had the early lead over Wanda Hedrick with 4,373 votes to 3,448, or 55.88 percent of the vote to 44.06 percent in Area Two.

In Area Three, incumbents Damian Armitage and Kris Wyatt were leading challenger Joe Uptain-Villa. As of 9 p.m., Armitage had 4,627 votes or 38 percent of the vote, Wyatt had 4,582 votes or 37.63 percent of the vote and Uptain-Villa had 2,961 votes or 24.32 percent.

The early results represent mail-in ballots only, according to the Placer County Elections Office.
