The Western Sierra Collegiate Academy football team lost their first Sacramento Metro Athletic League game Friday at Delta 33-0. The academy will hope to turn things around this Friday at Mahany Park for homecoming.

It is the first time the Wolves have been involved in league play following their inaugural season last year. They will host Woodland Christian (3-3, 2-0 in league) with conference wins over Delta and Valley Christian.

Western Sierra will have to get more production out of its offense against the Cardinals. In their three wins, the Woodland club has held their opponents to a total of 33 points.

The Wolves’ offense has been averaging less than 200 yards per game this season and has scored only 23 points.

Homecoming kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday.
