Lincoln Rotary’s fifth annual “Nite at the Races” is an “action-packed event for people of all ages,” according to Rotary Club event chairman Clark Osterhout.
The fundraiser features cocktails, a sit-down dinner, prizes, a raffle, a live auction and video-recorded horse races.
Live auction items includes weekend accommodations in Graeagle, a Texas barbecue for eight, a Paella dinner for eight and a weekend in the Caribbean (not including flight costs or daily resort fees).
“Nite at the Races” both supports the community and is an entertaining event, according to Osterhout.
“The meal is great and betting on the races is fun,” Osterhout said.
The event will be in the Orchard Creek Ballroom in Lincoln Hills. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Video horse races start at 7:30 p.m.
The fundraiser costs $70 per person which includes dinner with Fuji apple salad, beef short ribs or roasted salmon or a pasta dish and dessert. Two bottles of wine per table and $10 in betting money are also included in the event price.
Proceeds from “Nite at the Races” benefits Lincoln Rotary community programs, according to Lincoln Rotary President Dan Johnson.
“Help Rotary make a difference in Lincoln and have a lot fun,” Johnson said.
