Lincoln 54, Foothill 46

Zebras’ sophomore point guard Angelo Nicandro came up with eight big points in the fourth quarter and finished the game in double figures to help the Fighting Zebras defeat the Mustangs at Foothill 54-46 Thursday.

The win set the stage for another PVL showdown with Colfax (2-0, 13-6) Thursday.

Nicandro hit a couple key buckets and two free throws to hold off a Foothill rally. Lincoln held a 40-28 advantage at the end of three quarters.

Foothill’s Traivion Drummer and Adrian Loggins sparked the rally, but Nicandro’s two game-ending charity tosses iced the win for Lincoln.
